The "Medium" project, created in the suburbs of Hanoi in 2014, explores the key role of mediums in Vietnam, where they act as intermediaries between the living and the spirits. Their involvement is especially significant in the search for missing bodies. By entering a trance or communicating with spirits, they help families locate missing loved ones, sometimes guiding searches to specific locations.
Mediums also play a crucial role in the protection of the dead. Through rituals and ceremonies, they ensure that the soul of the deceased rests in peace, preventing spirits from becoming restless or malevolent. These practices, deeply rooted in Vietnamese culture, highlight the importance of honoring ancestors and maintaining spiritual balance between the living and the dead.
